Alleged Redmi A3x Indian Variant Spotted on BIS Database; Global Variant Clears EEC and IMDA Certification

A new Redmi smartphone with the model number 24048RN6CI has acquired Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) certification. We have also spotted global variant of this handset, with the model number 24048RN6CG, on Singapore’s IMDA (Infocomm Media Development Authority) and Russia’s EEC certification website.

While, these certification listings do not reveal the moniker or specifications of the upcoming handset, Folks at at GizmoChina claim that the upcoming device is the Redmi A3x. The model number of the device contains the number 2404 which suggest that it could make a debut in April 2024.

In terms of specifications, there is nothing that’s known about the upcoming Redmi A3x. However, we can expect it to be a tweaked version of the existing Redmi A3. To recall, the Redmi A3 made its debut in February in India and other global markets and is powered by a MediaTek Helio G36 processor.

The Redmi A3 offers a 90Hz LCD display with 500nits peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone comes equipped with a 5000mAh battery unit and 10W charging support. It has a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfers.
