The Google Pixel Watch 2 will be launched in India 一 in less than a month from today. Google India has officially revealed that its smartwatch will make it to the subcontinent this time around. The Google Pixel Watch 2 will be Google’s first-ever smartwatch for the Indian market. The search behemoth is hosting an event on October 4 in the US to launch the Pixel 8 Pro and the Pixel 8 smartphones. Both phones are also expected to launch in the country since the company launched their predecessor 一 Pixel 7 duo 一 last year.
The Pixel Watch 2 comes as the successor to the Pixel Watch from 2022. While the original Pixel Watch was not launched in India, Google has now confirmed the launch of the second-gen smartwatch in India 一 which is good news considering we will get more smartwatch options in the premium segment to rival Apple, and Samsung.
Pixel Watch 2: Flipkart Availability Confirmed, Expected Specs
The Pixel Watch 2 will be available in India on Flipkart e-commerce platform, which does not come as a surprise as Google has been selling its smartphones only on Flipkart for years now. The tweet from Google India confirms the Pixel Watch 2 will be available in India on October 5, though the exact time and offer details are yet to be revealed.

The 15-second teaser video confirms the Pixel Watch 2’s crown button on the side, curved screen, Always on Display, and IP68 rating. We can also see that the strap-locking mechanism is similar to the last gen.
In terms of features and specs, based on the previous leaks and rumours, the Pixel Watch 2 will come with a circular OLED display with curved edges and 383 x 384-pixel resolution. The watch will come with a rotatable crown and two physical buttons on the side. The Watch 2 is tipped to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5+ chipset and offer a large 2GB RAM. The device will come in Wi-Fi as well as LTE variants as seen on the FCC website a few weeks back.
The Pixel Watch 2 is also said to offer a 306mAh battery, which is a slight bump from the first-generation device. In terms of software, the watch should run on the latest Wear OS 4 out of the box. In addition, the smartwatch will have some new software enhancements and features. It is also said to offer four new watch faces Accessible, Arc, Analog Bold, and Bold Digital. Like the last gen, we are also expecting the watch to feature Fitbit integrations.
