AI Chatbot for Xbox

According to The Verge, Microsoft is testing an AI chatbot for the Xbox platform. Some insiders close to the development have told the publication that the chatbot was built to automate support tasks for Xbox users.

The upcoming chatbot is said to be linked with the Xbox network and ecosystem support documents. This integration empowers the AI to provide prompt and accurate responses to support queries raised by users.

Furthermore, the chatbot is said to be able to handle other tasks, such as processing game refunds through Microsoft’s support website.

Early Stages and Broader AI Ambitions for Xbox

While currently in an internal testing phase focusing on Minecraft Realms support queries, the exact release date for the public remains unknown. However, this chatbot represents just one facet of Microsoft’s broader AI strategy for Xbox.

The report further states that the company is also exploring a host of other AI-powered Copilots for safety and moderation duties on Xbox. These assistants would be responsible for content moderation, enforcement, and appeals.
