Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2, Surface Laptop Go 2, Surface Go 3 Specs Leak Ahead of the Launch

The consumer tech world is eager for the next week’s Apple event where we will meet the new iPhone 15 series. However, it is not the only major tech event to look forward to this month. Microsoft has its own event scheduled for September 21 where it is expected to unveil new Surface hardware. As we wait for both events, the specifications of the upcoming Microsoft Surface products have surfaced online.

Roland Quandt of WinFuture.de has shared a report detailing Microsoft Surface specifications citing information received from online retailers. He claims Microsoft’s upcoming products will mostly have internal upgrades and that too related to CPU.

The Surface Laptop Studio 2 is said to continue with the 14.4-inch PixelSense display with 2400 x 1600 pixels resolution and 3:2 aspect ratio. It will be powered by the “Raptor Lake” 13th Gen Intel Core CPU i.e. 45W Intel Core i7-13800H. It is a 5.0GHz chipset featuring six high-performance cores and eight energy-saving cores. There is said to be 16GB and 32GB of RAM options along with 512GB and 1TB SSD storage.

The upcoming model is further expected to have more USB Type-C ports than the predecessor. The overall design of the Surface Laptop Studio 2 is said to stay unchanged from the previous generation device.

The Surface Laptop Go 2 is reported to receive Intel Core i5-1235U processor refresh. It is a 12th Intel Core CPU from 2022 with 4.4GHz dual high-end cores and eight energy-efficiency cores. It will be available in a single 8GB RAM option but storage options will be 128GB and 256GB. It will be SSD storage for faster data transfer speeds.

Lastly, the Surface Go 4 is reported to come with an Intel CPU. This is in contrast to previous claims of AMD chipset. The report says it will have a quad-core “Alder Lake-N” Intel N200 processor clocked up to 3.7GHz.

It is speculated we may see only the 8GB RAM variant and 4GB RAM model could be scrapped this year. The onboard storage options could be 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB depending on the model. The product design is likely to continue as the last generation.

Microsoft is expected to start selling new Surface hardware products in October. The report does not mention pricing details but suggests buyers may see a slight increase when compared to the predecessors
