Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has revealed that the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is already in talks with Governor Nyesom Wike.
The governor made this known while speaking with journalists on Monday in Markurdi, the Benue state capital.
Recall that Ortom had in an interview berated Atiku for rejecting the recommendation of Wike as his running mate and the party’s vice presidential candidate.
He also said the former Vice President should have talked to Wike before announcing Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate.
Governor Ortom, however, advised Atiku to discuss with the Rivers Governor.
In a chat with reporters, Ortom said that Atiku had already begun discussing with Wike to address the issues he raised in his recent interview.
“All that I wanted should be done (for Wike). He (Atiku) has agreed and they are talking,” he said.
