After multiple leaks and rumours, Realme recently unveiled the Realme GT 5 in China. And the global account of Realme has started teasing the smartphone, indicating that device will launch in the global markets soon. Now the brand seems to be working towards the Realme GT 5 Pro launch in the upcoming months in China.
Previously, Realme confirmed that it will launch upcoming GT series smartphones in the H2 of 2023. Popular tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed more specifications of the forthcoming device. The device is also said to have similarities with the upcoming OnePlus 12 in terms of internals.
MySmartPrice has exclusively revealed the renders of the forthcoming OnePlus 12 smartphone in collaboration with OnLeaks. However, Realme and OnePlus will equip both smartphones with different designs. Digital Chat Station reveals that the upcoming GT 5 Pro will come with a curved OLED panel, featuring 2K resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz.
The tipster adds that Realme will continue to equip the device with PWM DC dimming, which will help users avoid flickers. Design-wise, the phone is expected to offer a metal frame.
Reports show the GT 5 Pro will feature a vapour chamber covering 10,000mm2 in surface area, setting a new record as it will be the largest on any smartphone. Under the hood, the Realme GT 5 Pro will feature the forthcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Qualcomm is expected to announce the chipset in its annual Tech Summit, which is scheduled for October this year. The chipset is expected to pair with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of storage.
The phone is expected to come with a triple-rear camera setup. A previous leak confirmed the upcoming GT 5 Pro will feature a Sony IMX 9xx series primary camera. DCS also confirms that the device will sport a 64MP OV64B periscope sensor with 3X optical zoom. The phone is said to come with a large X-axis motor for better haptics. The smartphone will run on Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 out of the box.
The tipster hints that Realme will pack the upcoming flagship with a large battery. The GT 5 Pro is expected to feature a large 5400mAh battery with 100W fast charging tech. The tipster also confirms that the device will offer 50W wireless charging tech.
A previous leak indicated that both OnePlus and Realme will offer the OnePlus 12 and GT 5 Pro with IP68 water and dust resistance. The tipster adds that the upcoming Realme device will sport the UFCS (Universal Fast Charging Specification) charging standard.
